Job SummaryThis position serves as an assistant to the BCTC Intramural Sports program to support planning, developing, and implementing the intramural program. Schedule and supervise student workers assigned to intramural sports. Disseminate policies and information for intramural programs. Schedule all intramural events, including; sign-ups, captains meetings, game scheduling, recording of results and sending notices, updating of bulletin boards.
Job Duties
  • Promote Intramural Sports at the institution through marketing and advertising.
  • Supervise and train Student Intramural Sports Assistants.
  • Assist with oversight of the coordination and scheduling of leagues and tournaments.
  • Assist students with registering for intramural sports and manage documentation such as waivers and emergency contact information.
  • Ensure the eligibility of participants throughout the league season.
  • Maintain records relative to participation and equipment inventory.
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of the entire Intramural Sports Program, and the rules for each individual sport.
  • Attend and supervise intramural events. Referee when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree (Education, Kinesiology, or Sports Administration)
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s in related field
Additional Skills Requested
  • CPR/AED Certified (Desired)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Commitment to the mission of the comprehensive community and technical college.
