Job Summary

Market, coordinate, and provide training to business and industry at the local, state, and national levels. Develop, market, and deliver customized training programs.

Establish and maintain successful collaborative relationships with State Fire Rescue Training District Coordinators and other SFRT Industrial Training Specialists to ensure growth of student numbers and generate revenues sufficient to cover costs of operating the Industrial Training Programs.

Aid SFRT training programs, IFSAC (International Fire Service Accreditation Congress) accredited certification programs, Fire Science Technology Degree programs, EMS and other industrial training programs.

Provide logistical support and utilize marketing opportunities at events (examples : Governor’s Safety and Health Network Conference, League of Cities Conference, KaCo, etc.)

Job Duties :

Scheduling classes, instructing classes, coordinating marketing, and developing and / or assisting with development of State Fire Rescue training programs at the local, regional, state, and national levels.

Sell and deliver State Fire Rescue training services to business and industry, institutions, and other agencies. Aid with training needs for State Fire Rescue, Emergency Medical Services, and other emergency services personnel.

Monitoring industrial training budget and expenses. Ensuring all billing is done in a timely manner. Performing administrative services to provide certificates to agencies in a timely manner.

Maintaining equipment and facilities for training purposes.

Collaborating with Fire Rescue District Coordinators to forge mutually beneficial partnerships for sharing training programs and services statewide.

Assisting industries with developing training programs that comply with all Federal, State, and Local requirements.

Promoting public relations, attending training / seminars, and serving on committees, workgroups, and teams to better serve the fire service statewide.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications :

High School diploma or GED and three years of position-related experience, or equivalent plus must be Kentucky Firefighter (Fire Commission Basic I Certified), Level I Instructor (Fire Commission Certified), IFSAC FFI and FFII.

Must be knowledgeable in industrial fire suppression, emergency medical services, hazmat, confined space, lock out / tag out, etc.

Must be able to drive trucks while pulling trailers and training props. Must be able to lift equipment and props of 75- lbs.

Preferred Qualifications :

Educational Preparation - Preferred : Associate degree or equivalent

Relevant Experience-Preferred : 5 to 7 years

EMT Instructor (KY Certified).
