Superintendent Responsibilities:
The successful candidate must have:
- A commitment to excellence and be able to plan, manage, coordinate and execute the Company’s Water/Wastewater facility projects in the field, while providing administrative expertise to the entire project team..
- Experience managing a construction site, including familiarity with budgets, staffing, work assignments, jobsite organization, subcontractor management (multiple), jobsite safety and work plan preparation.
- Experience directing field personnel to achieve a safe and conforming completion of the project, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with plans/specs & regulations.
- Experience preparing, maintaining and updating construction schedules.
- Demonstrated experience tracking field productivity and progress.
- Promote and enforce craft and subcontractors compliance with project safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented
- Mentor and coach foremen as it relates to company policies and procedures and work requirements
- Conduct and/or direct project safety meetings
- Supervise foremen assigned to area of responsibility and provide liaison between field engineering, estimating, and crafts to ensure compliance of construction with drawings and specifications
- Inspect work areas to determine type of work required and materials and equipment to be used. May coordinate with equipment superintendent to insure constant flow of materials
- Maintain liaison with other departments (i.e., Material Control, Purchasing, Quality Control, Engineering) to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support craft activities and project schedule
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of local union or prevailing wage rules
- Must also be able to represent the Company professionally at all times, and maintain positive relationships with clients, owners, subcontractors, vendors and other employees
- 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on water/wastewater related projects.
- Understanding of various types of structures, process systems, start-up, testing and commissioning requirements associated with water and/or wastewater projects.
- Strong knowledge of process, piping and treatment systems
- Experience with Procore contract/project management software a plus
- Demonstrable experience in managing multi discipline crews and subcontractors on complex projects is required
