Global Activities supports networks which include network infrastructure, file servers, satellite communications, and messaging systems. As a Network Administrator, you will support foreign nationals daily, including the administration, maintenance, and problem-solving for these systems. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to address Country Directors, Local IT, and Customers.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required
- Active Passport, willing to travel out of the country
- Willing to travel up to 50% of the time, providing 24x7 operation on-call support
- Provide Level 2 and 3 technical services to global customers with large tasks.
- Install, integrate, upgrade, operate, administer, and monitor the LAN operating systems and servers in a Microsoft environment (CISCO-certified engineer desired).
- Configure, install, and implement applications and software available on the LAN file server. Configure disk subsystems to ensure efficient storage utilization and backup.
- Maintain utilities for network management and audit trails.
- Providing communications and presentation, ability to speak to Country Directors, ITA, and customers
- Traveled, international and domestic. The engineer will travel to remote countries at least 2-3 weeks a month
- Ability to be Self-Started, with limited supervision

- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Typically requires at least ten years relevant experience without a degree, 4 years relevant experience with an Undergraduate Degree, 3 years relevant experience with a Graduate Degree
- 4 years of working experience managing various server and network equipment experience, and Cisco networking configuration and installation.
- 4 years of working experience as network and server administrator with skills in various network infrastructure areas, including Windows Server, AD, VMWare, Citrix, Cisco networks, Windows Hyper V, application installation, and support
- 3 years of working experience with M365 products
- 3 years of working experience and ability to develop and maintain network standards and procedures.
- 2 years of working experience in maintaining cloud computing systems
- 4 years of working experience evaluating emerging network technologies
- 4 years of working experience in a large enterprise environment as a systems or network engineer
- 4 years of working experience installing and maintaining Microsoft Server 2008 - 2019
- 4 years of working experience installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, and maintaining Cisco routers and switches, including the latest Cisco routers and latest Cisco switches
- 4 years of working experience installing, troubleshooting, and configuring firewalls
- Demonstrates knowledge of implementing and managing provisioning suites (e.g., DHCP, DNS)
- 4 years of working experience using network analysis tools (network sniffers) to assist in identifying and resolving problems on-site and remotely is required
- 2 years of working experience with Meraki Wireless experience helpful. Equivalent CISCO wireless experience is acceptable.
- Ability to multi-task projects; high degree of flexibility
- Strong interpersonal skills and analytical skills
- Strong written, oral communication skills and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of group dynamics
- The position requires working in many 3rd-World Countries requiring appropriate international travel precautions
- Must be able to lift to 35 lbs
