Position: LEAD BARISTA (Previous Coffee Lead Barista experience and POS experience is a MUST)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire service process.
  • Proficient in specific coffee techniques: pulling espresso shots, steaming milk, and creating latte art.
  • Skillfully prepare a variety of pastry and beverage items, ensuring adherence to the brand's recipe standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing techniques, and flavor profiles to assist customers with their selections and provide recommendations when needed.
  • Prepare drinks consistently according to recipes, with full knowledge of the drink menu and the ability to answer questions regarding beverages.
  • Stay updated on current promotions, new menu items, and any changes in company policies or procedures, effectively communicating information to customers and colleagues as needed.
  • Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction with pick-up orders, addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and promptly, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of all parties.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including espresso machines, ovens, food processors, etc.
  • Train, mentor, and coach team members on service standards, product knowledge, and operational procedures. Provide constructive feedback to facilitate growth and development.
  • Collaborate with the expediter to fulfill specific item requests and communicate effectively with the management team regarding operational updates, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations during peak hours, assisting with tasks such as restocking supplies and cleaning.
  • Set up and dismantle workstations efficiently.
  • Clear used tableware between courses and provide tableware for the next course.
  • Prepare toppings and add-ons according to recipes.
  • Properly label ingredients and prepped items for easy identification.
  • Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are always followed.
  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, reconciling registers, and preparing shift reports.
  • Assist the General Manager in providing ongoing support and guidance to ensure team members are equipped to excel in their roles.
  • Assist the General Manager in managing inventory levels and placing orders for supplies as needed, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and employee schedules using designated systems or software.
  • Effectively communicate order readiness to third-party delivery drivers.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices, to maintain a safe and healthy environment for both customers and staff.
    • Ensure cleanliness is maintained in all areas, including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas.
    • Uphold cleanliness standards by sanitizing high-contact surfaces and organizing the entrance area.
    • Thoroughly wash all equipment and utensils used during daily operations.
    • Promptly report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the manager.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the manager-on-duty.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in a fast-paced food service environment.
  • Achievement of obtaining a Food Handler Card, as provided by the company.
  • Committed to collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members to provide excellent customer service.
  • Capable of performing well under pressure and in a fast-paced setting.
  • Skilled in teamwork and communication.
  • Able to work efficiently both independently and in a team.
  • Initiative-driven team player comfortable with taking the lead when necessary.

  • Proficiency in basic math and handling various forms of payment, including cash and credit cards.
