Position Overview The Maintenance Electrician has a focus on electrical and will perform diverse responsibilities to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, Calibration & Preventative Maintenance processes and to ensure equipment in maintained in a validated state. You will provide both service and support to internal customers. The Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for installation of plant and production equipment, maintaining equipment, troubleshooting/diagnose equipment problems, providing service for unscheduled repairs/maintenance, and help complete equipment qualifications. In our business, it is important you can demonstrate a understanding of the importance of documentation. Basic Background Requirements You will need: Two year technical degree or 2 years of experience within a manufacturing environment Experience in troubleshooting technical issues (Electrical & Mechanical) Ability to properly size wires The ability to work with production associates and other technicians or with great independence Experience maintaining equipment Experience with equipment qualifications Experience in Medical Device manufacturing preferred Ability to wire, troubleshoot and repair 3 phase 480 VAC systems a plus Ability to maintain general knowledge of the certification and regulatory requirements contained in ISO-13485, and FDA CFR/GMP Medical Device Regulation Key Performance Objectives Short Term: (0 to 3 months) Learn KEIND Quality system requirements Build relationships with Engineering and Operations team members Learn Calibration & Maintenance Program Familiarize yourself with processes and equipment Support operations by maintaining equipment and electrical systems Learn and adopt Kimball Electronics philosophies and culture Midterm: (3 to 6 months) Accountable for maintenance activity Learn ERP system basic job tasks (Create reports & work orders) Have understanding of program and system Long term: (6 to 12 months) Independently managing electrical and maintenance projects Own electrical systems improvement projects As a global company, we value a culture of curiosity, diversity of thought, and innovation from our employees, customers, and partners.
