Lesman Instrument Company, a nationwide provider of process control valves, industrial instrumentation and analytical instrumentation, is in search of a Industrial Automation Technical Sales Support Specialist to join our team in Butler, Wisconsin.

The Technical Sales Support Specialist provides technical expertise, guidance, and support to both internal and external customers for process instrumentation, valves and hygienic equipment, serving as a primary resource for product questions and product application information for internal and external customers.
Essential Responsibilities
Actively promote Lesman’s products and services, thoroughly explaining functionality and assisting customers in choosing the correct product
Work with customers and outside sales reps to determine their process control and analytical instrumentation requirements
Efficiently and effectively provide technical expertise in support of sales interactions and assist with the processing of orders, while identifying opportunities to increase sales during these interactions
Prepare detailed quotations and order confirmations for customers
Build item cards in the company’s ERP system to include navigating the manufacturer’s price books and literature in order to create and input a model number, minimum description, pricing, vendor, product class code and lead time information
Negotiate pricing in order to facilitate sales and/or increase profit margins
Assist with project specification and drawing reviews and complete project take-offs
Provide exceptional personal customer service to all internal and external customers
Create customers for life by investigating problems, developing solutions, and offering solutions
Provide assistance as overflow support for sales calls
Assist customers with use and navigation of the company’s website and catalog
Retrieve and accurately enter orders received via customer’s electronic PO portal, acknowledging as necessary
Preferred Qualifications
Undergraduate/bachelor’s degree
Minimum of five years of related work experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and use company software
Advanced knowledge of the industrial process marketplace to include the role of the company’s customers, consultants, contractors, and end users as well as advanced knowledge of industrial process applications and products
