Kelly has partnered with a premiere customer in Mentor, Ohio and seeking a Quality Supervisor to join their team!

1st Shift : 7:00am – 4:00pm

Salary : $80,000-95,000

Location : Mentor, Ohio

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain a positive, team-oriented environment by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Coach, counsel, and discipline employees; initiate, coordinate, and enforce company systems, policies, and procedures.
• Provide succession planning and development of the quality team.
• Monitor and maintain the workflow of quality inspections.
• Coordinate required repairs, service, calibrations; evaluate new equipment and techniques.
• Compile and analyze inspection and measurement data; report results to management.
• Create, implement, and revise systems and procedures.
• Enforce compliance with established safety policies, procedures, and standards.
• Attend educational workshops and review professional publications for continuous learning.
• Lead and implement continuous improvement projects that drive cost reductions.

Quality:

• Maintain ISO 9001:2015 certification.
• Lead daily material review board (MRB) discussions and weekly customer claim discussions.
• Measure and track quality KPI’s and cost of quality.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to train, certify, and audit production employees.
• Facilitate Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) for new products and processes.
• Ensure the calibration of all measuring and test equipment.
• Maintain quality records and train others in using measuring tools during inspections.

Requirements:

• Education : Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience : 5 years in a Quality role with supervisory experience preferred.
• Certifications :
• ISO 9001:2015 experience preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Certified ISO9001 Lead Auditor are pluses.

Job Function Competency:

• Thorough knowledge of ISO-9001 quality system standard, total quality management techniques, mechanical/electronic measurement equipment, calibration procedures, statistical process control techniques, common processes for machining/forming of metals.
• Language, writing, and computer literacy skills.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Team leadership and cross-functional teamwork experience.
