Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom is Hiring a Laboratory Technician Near Harrisburg, PA

Job Title: Chemist

Location: Harrisburg, PA

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional Saturdays on an as-needed basis

Responsibilities:

  • Handle samples, perform analyses, and report accurate and timely data in accordance with Laboratory Operating Procedures and test methodologies.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, maintain good documentation skills, and consistently adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Report any deficiencies or malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
  • Maintain records of all quality activities as documented in SOP and test methods.
  • Identify and record nonconformities on Corrective Action Requests.

Equipment Expertise:

  • Regular operation of laboratory equipment including analytical balances, food homogenization equipment, pipetting tools, basic wet chemistry equipment for analysis of moisture, ash, titratable elements, microwave digestors, and ICPs.

Software Proficiency:

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite is required.
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Material Science, Environmental Science, Forensic Science, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in a commercial laboratory setting is advantageous.
