Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Sustainability Packaging Project Lead for our client a leading medical device manufacturer in Rochester, New York. Schedule : On-site Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm

Length of assignment: Until the end of 2024 likely to extend into 2025

Pay: $55-60 an hour with some flexibility

• Responsibilities The individual should be recognized as a technical expert and have the demonstrated capability of a technical project management role. Demonstrated experience in collaborative cross-functional work across organizational boundaries, including different business units and functional groups, is required.
• The individual will work cross-functionally within the Contact Lens R&D Organization but will also coordinate with the Corporate Sustainability Organization and Manufacturing.
• Effectively interface with various internal and external groups during the development cycle to evaluate and implement new materials, processes, and vendors to improve the product sustainability profile.
• Participate in developing an action plan and then lead the execution of the action plan with relevant team members and stakeholders.
• Influence other departments to evaluate and/or implement improvements and provide supporting information to justify deployment of resources for said improvements.
• Primary focus will be on Contact Lens packaging while also potentially engaging and coordinating with Lens Care, Surgical, Pharma, and other business units.
• Requirements: BS or MS in a scientific field
• Ideally 5 years plus experience in sustainability – specifically plastics
• Previous project manager experience
