Laboratory Assistant- Part TimeWoodbridge, Connecticut
Work Schedule
  • 1pm to 5pm, Monday to Friday
OverviewThe Lab Assistant will play a crucial role in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the lab environment, including glassware, equipment, and overall lab space.
Responsibilities
  • Organize and maintain cleanliness of the R&D lab area.
  • Clean and sterilize glassware and laboratory equipment.
  • Dispose of chemical waste following safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Assist in receiving and organizing laboratory supplies and materials.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Support ongoing projects by preparing materials and assisting lab personnel as needed.
  • Always ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in science-related program is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a laboratory setting or knowledge of lab procedures preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment and techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Reporting:This position reports to the Manager of QC & Analytical Chemistry, who will provide guidance and supervision as needed.
Note: This is a temporary/part-time position offering an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic R&D lab environment. We encourage candidates with a passion for science and laboratory work to apply.
