- Adhering to safety regulations and best practices in handling and storing industrial materials.
- Coordinating inbound and outbound shipments of industrial parts, including scheduling deliveries, arranging transportation, and managing customs clearance processes.
- Working closely with suppliers, carriers, and freight forwarders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of parts while maintaining high service levels.
- Collaborating with purchasing and inventory management teams to forecast parts requirements and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Monitoring inventory levels and tracking parts movements to ensure on-time delivery and minimize stockouts.
- Providing support and assistance during physical inventory counts and audits.
- Developing, implementing, and enforcing safety policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conducting regular inspections and audits of work areas to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborating with department managers and supervisors to address safety concerns and develop corrective action plans.
- Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Monitoring and tracking safety performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Participating in safety committee meetings and providing input on safety initiatives and programs.
- Staying informed about changes in safety regulations and industry standards and communicating relevant updates to management and staff.
- Serving as a resource for employees regarding safety concerns, questions, and reporting procedures.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in supply chain management or a related field is a plus.
- Have proven experience in inventory management, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Are proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Have knowledge of industrial parts and their applications (desirable).
- Have forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification (may be required).
- Have proven experience in safety coordination or a similar role, preferably in industrial manufacturing.
- Have a thorough understanding of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Are willing to undergo a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
