Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team in St. Louis, Missouri! The role will be for a candidate adept in Kubernetes cluster setup and management, with a proven track record in continuous delivery pipelines utilizing Bitbucket, GitLab, or Cloud Build. This role collaborates closely with developers, ensuring the seamless implementation of new environments while adhering to stringent security protocols and best practices. You will be taking ownership of DevOps processes, fostering a collaborative culture across functional borders, while engage in product design to architect scalable, highly available, and cost-effective solutions aligned with our cloud strategies. This role also extends to understanding customer needs, designing, developing, and analyzing infrastructure to empower them in implementing robust technology solutions. Through consultation, innovation, design, coding, and testing, you contribute to the creation of trustworthy IT components and products, driving the team towards excellence.

Duties:

• Support foundational cloud infrastructure for use in software products
• Gather requirements and implement through experience and technical skill
• Analyze problems and use Terraform to provide solutions that work across the organization
• Implement foundational elements into software products and custom client solutions
• Responsible for understanding internal and external customer needs and delivering cloud infrastructure that allow customers to implement systems for their business applications
• Perform system analysis that meets business needs within financial budget guidelines
• Research software and services to find the best solutions and prices that meet business requirements
• Review and analyze current technology infrastructure and its ability to support strategic objectives for clients
• Work with all departments within the organization to assist in the improvement of business processes, ensure security standards are followed, test systems to ensure functionality is satisfactory, and recommend new systems or product upgrades
• Mentor and guide DevOps resources to ensure security standards, policies, and procedures are followed
• Participate in knowledge sharing sessions with the DevOps team

Desired Skills/Experience:

• 2 years of related experience
• Proficient in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and technology
• Some familiarity with IT Architecture design principles
• Coding skills required in Terraform
• Knowledge of basic network and internet infrastructure protocols
• Ability to interpret security requirements and apply them to infrastructure and software
