MISSION :

The Work Order Coordinator II assists the Production Control, Inventory, and Warehouse Supervisor with supporting production operations by reviewing customer requirements and administering production scheduling.

The Work Order Coordinator II manages work order releases according to the production schedule and is responsible for the systematic completion of work orders.

This role also supports Shipping by preparing required outbound shipment documents.

KEY OUTCOMES (KPIs) :

1) OUTCOME : Work Order Processing

• Creates new or revises work orders as required to support customer orders
• Prints work orders from Oracle according to the required production schedule
• Prints all labels and documentation associated with each work order
• Prepares work order packets and distributes to the proper work cells
• Progresses completed work orders in Oracle
• Communicates in advance any component shortages to the Materials group
• Monitors the status of work orders in the ERP system to verify that all progressions are completed correctly
• Performs daily inventory counts of finished goods to verify that work orders are being progressed properly
• Assists with and / or prepares shipping documentation associated with each outbound shipment
• Runs production scheduling (PS) weekly in the absence of the Production Control, Inventory and Warehouse Supervisor

2) OUTCOME : Additional Duties

• Train to and follow established lean manufacturing processes and procedures
• Use of scale for weigh-counting component parts
• Perform material transfers in ERP system when necessary
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle and / or Microsoft D365)
