POSITION PURPOSE Responsible for providing a variety of paying and receiving functions, including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashiers' checks, money orders, and cash advances. This position will also involve balancing each day's transactions and verifying cash totals. Additionally, the position involves performing specific assigned side-jobs and assisting other Tellers with a variety of duties as required. This position will ensure that members are promptly and professionally served. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & BASIC DUTIES
Disburses cash or check share withdrawals in person.
Opens and closes computer terminal accounts daily.
Processes assigned cash and transactions and balances at the end of the day.
Verifies transactions by monitoring deposit amounts and examining documents for endorsement and negotiability.
Processes cash advances, cashiers' checks, money orders, and similar transactions.
Provides in person, by telephone, or by mail, such information as members may authorize concerning their account status.
QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification: High School Graduate or equivalent. Required Knowledge: Knowledge of Teller policies and procedures. Basic understanding of Credit Union operations. Experience Required: One to twelve months of similar or related experience. Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication and customer service skills. Professional appearance, dress, and attitude. Good math skills. Good typing skills. Ability to operate related computer application and business equipment including adding machines, typewriters, copy machines, coin and money counting machines, and telephones.
