We are now looking for a Safety & Compliance Specialist, Logistics Operations for our Supply Chain Management function within the industry and water segment. This position is based in our Baltimore, MD facility.
In This Role, You’ll Be Responsible For

• Compliance and Documentation: Support the Safety Manager in maintaining compliance with transportation operating authority, licenses, permits, credentials, and regulatory programs such as DOT drug and alcohol and FMCSA CSA. Maintain driver qualification and fitness documentation.
• Systems Administration: Serve as the system administrator for Synergi, DMS, and IMS systems, ensuring proper management and protocol adherence within the logistics group.
• Training and Incident Support: Conduct training on key topics, maintain compliant training programs, support incident investigations, root cause analysis (RCA), and review incident cases. Participate in periodic group safety meetings for both management and operative personnel. Assist the Safety Manager regarding any new safety and compliance initiatives.
• Regulatory and Insurance Assistance: Assist with transportation insurance requirements, regulatory submissions, reporting, claim management, and monitor regulatory and legislative changes to ensure compliance.
• Operational Compliance Reviews: Support compliance reviews of logistics operations, assist with standard operating procedures, programs, and fleet equipment CT standards. Participate in periodic group safety meetings and support new safety and compliance initiatives.

What You’ll Bring To The Team

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the trucking or chemical industry; a college degree is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Department of Transportation Regulations, OSHA, EPA, DEP, and hazardous materials regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with competent computer skills.
• Strong math and organizational skills.
