Kemron Environmental Services is Hiring a Program Manager Federal Near Atlanta, GA

KEMRON ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES, INC IS AN EMPLOYEE-OWNED COMPANY!
POSITION SUMMARY: As a Program Manager for KEMRON Environmental Services, Inc., you will direct Project Managers and lead business development for Federal contracts involving Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP). The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure all projects under the contracts adhere to established schedules, performance requirements, budgets and profit margin. In addition, this position is responsible for training and mentoring Project Managers and UXO personnel. This is an exempt full-time position and is a nationwide position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:
  • Provide oversight and direction to Project Managers, project teams and teaming partners/subcontractors.
  • Facilitate communication/coordination among Project Managers and allocate resources.
  • Interact with senior government officials and contracting officers on significant project matters.
  • Resolve difficult issues involving significant scope, schedule and or financial impact.
  • Apply project management core processes and methodologies and utilize lessons learned to strengthen project management.
  • Optimize utilization of technical staff, field crews, equipment, and subcontractors with Project Managers, other Program Mangers, Senior UXO personnel and Regional/Office Managers.
  • Provide insights into business development opportunities and lead capture planning for contract/client.
  • Monitor and track progress of all projects and analyze project data to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Provide recommendations for critical strategic decisions related to project prioritization, resource allocation, and long-term planning.
  • Train and mentor Project Managers using both internal and external resources.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering or geology/geoscience required and advanced degrees preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) registration required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred although may be required for some DoD clients.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum fifteen (15) years of progressive experience in the environmental consulting/remediation and MMRP.
  • Minimum five (5) years serving as Program Manager on DoD contracts covering environmental consulting/remediation and MMRP with experience for USACE Districts preferred.
  • Experience managing projects involving advanced geophysical classification (AGC) during investigation or removal/remedial action is required.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex problems at a time while tracking progress and meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented mindset, including the ability to think outside the box as well as the ability to learn new processes, procedures, and data quickly.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proven project management skills within environmental consulting/remediation and MMRP.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles.
OTHER REQUIRED CRITERIA:
  • 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Training, current 8-Hour Refresher training
  • Current valid driver’s license and ability to pass a HAZWOPER medical exam and drug screen.
WORK CONTEXT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must be able to work on a computer for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to efficiently manage multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned tasks.
  • Ability to occasionally work after normal business hours and on weekends.
  • Must understand and follow KEMRON SOPs for specific task(s).
  • Must be able to travel to work/project sites, client meetings and conferences.
  • Must have ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Must have the ability to move about to accomplish tasks or move from one workstation to another within an office environment.
  • Must be able to manually operate all office machines to include printers and copiers.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
