Title: Director of Sales & Business Development

Location: Norwalk, CT (or, remotely as agreed upon)

Company Description: KenCast Inc is a leading innovator in managed content delivery solutions, providing software and hardware solutions for file and stream delivery over both broadcast- as well as terrestrial- networks. We are known in the industry for our patented application layer forward error correction (AL-FEC) algorithms and our solutions are deployed in a wide range of markets ranging from defense, mobility, retail, media, news, NGOs, to delivering feature films to over 5,000 theaters in the Americas.

Position Summary: The Director of Sales and Business Development will lead KenCast’s efforts to identify areas for growth, develop strategic partnerships, and, above all, drive revenue. This executive role requires a deep understanding of the satellite and managed content delivery industries and a proven track record in sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to increase the company's market presence and revenue.
  • Identify new business opportunities in the satellite and terrestrial content delivery sector, including potential partnerships and market expansions.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Participate in negotiations and close deals with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and finance, to align business strategies and optimize sales potential. 
  • Foster relationships and promote KenCast through participation at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions. This includes providing recommendations for product enhancements and new features as well as new products related to content delivery solutions.
  • Lead business development within the company, setting objectives and reviewing performance to ensure targets are met.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the software or satellite industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales projections within the satellite or telecommunications sector.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful business strategies.
  • Strong network of contacts in the satellite and related sectors.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team towards achieving business goals.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
