A Nursing home in Babylon NY is seeking a full-time Assistant Social Services Director. Prior social work experience in Long term care is required.

Responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and assisting with the overall operation of the Social Services Department for a long-term care nursing center in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and center guidelines.
Consults with patients and family members concerning personal, emotional, medical, and social needs.
Assists patients in obtaining needed services when such services are not provided by the nursing center.
