POSITION SUMMARY:Are you looking for an opportunity to gain practical experience in data warehousing and business intelligence? KENT® Corporation is seeking a temporary part time Business Intelligence (BI) Assistant to join our team! As a Business Intelligence Assistant, you will support the management and optimization of our organization’s data warehouse and transition of legacy reports to Power BI.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Performance Tuning and Optimization:
- Review, analyze, and compare across environments output from performance tools and report findings to data warehouse data architect.
- Assist in monitoring and optimizing data warehouse performance.
- Documentation:
- Review meeting videos and create support documentation and diagrams.
- Maintain clear and organized documentation for future reference.
- ERP Migration Support:
- Analyze database structure differences between current on-premise and future cloud ERP database for understanding of impact to data warehouse migration.
- Reporting:
- Assist with migration of legacy reports to Power BI.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (IT, business, analytics) to understand data requirements.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding data-related tasks and updates.
- Currently enrolled in a college program related to MIS, computer science, data science, business analytics, or software engineering.
- Basic understanding of databases, SQL, and data modeling concepts.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau preferred, but not required.
- This is a temporary part-time position, allowing flexibility for college coursework.
- Hours per week: Approximately 10 hours, depending on availability.
