    What We Need:
    We are seeking an energetic, collaborative team member to work with our students to empower them to discover and achieve their potential! This team member will provide effective services to help all of our students succeed, socially, emotionally, behaviorally.
    In this Role:
    Summary of the Position
    • Engages in regular ongoing coaching cycles with teachers in planning for specific student learning outcomes based on assessed needs of individual students and the use of data and information to determine each student’s current knowledge and skill level, support student learning goals, and assess student progress.
    • Engages in regular, ongoing, and continuous coaching cycles with teachers to support their growth and implementation of research-based instructional strategies. Scholars are at the center of the work and guide goal-setting in the coach-teacher relationship.
    • Instructional coaches may conduct classroom instruction either for direct learning by students or for modeling effective intervention and teaching practices for classroom teachers. In addition to modeling direct instructional practices, coaches may co-teach or co-plan lessons and engage in learning-focused dialogue.
    • Develops and facilitates professional learning opportunities for administrators, teachers, and/or support staff in curriculum, instruction, and assessment strategies to promote achievement for all scholars.
    • Works collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and others as appropriate, in developing effective teaching and learning practices, and developing and implementing best practices, which will ultimately positively impact our scholars.
    • The instructional coach supports teachers in using research-based instructional and learning strategies and content specific, differentiated instruction in assisting teachers in planning, delivering, and formatively assessing their lessons. This includes supporting teachers before, during, and after instruction by identifying learning targets, modeling instruction, and facilitating teacher reflection on the lesson taught.
    • Integrates district technology into planning, learning, progress reporting, and required record-keeping activities.
    • Actively participates in grade level, department, and/or professional learning meetings.
    • Assist in the supervision of students throughout the day, at school activities and events.
    • The instructional coach will establish a professional growth plan and annually review the plan and progress with the Director of Teaching and Learning.

    What You Need:
    Required Qualifications
    • Certified Teacher
    • Master’s degree in education or applicable field, required
    • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a teacher required
    • Demonstrated knowledge of the work of Cognitive Coaching and/or Adaptive Schools and how to develop and enhance these strategies in schools.
    • Experience embedding technology into instructional delivery.
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with District staff.
    • Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor adult learners.
    • Demonstrated ability to understand the multiplicity of issues in a diverse district.
    • Demonstrated cross-cultural competence and the ability to articulate, practice and embed into the work.
    • Demonstrated ability and willingness to coordinate and lead mentor trainings, model lessons and collaborate with school instructional staff.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum, best practices in instruction and assessment.
    • Expertise in the use of technology and the integration of technology in learning.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Two (2) years in an instructional coaching role or similar role preferred
    • Demonstrated record of success in leading strategic educational initiatives that resulted in measurable improvements in student achievement.
    • In-depth experience in the systemic implementation of progressive instructional practices.

    • Ability to lead continuous improvement efforts toward identified instructional targets by motivating and mentoring teachers and facilitating systemic change strategies, with an emphasis on progressive educational practices. ?

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents/guardians, the community, and staff.
