Blue Seal/Kent Nutrition Group, a member of the KENT® Corporation family of companies has an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Utility Operator in Hagerstown, MD! The Utility Operator is required to do a variety of jobs in the warehouse and manufacturing areas related to housekeeping and sanitation.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sort and separate any damaged products received from the Warehouse.
- Dump trash daily.
- Complete the daily Utility Operator’s Checklist filled out by the Quality Control Supervisor.
- Responsible for Housekeeping and Sanitation of the entire plant inside and outside, cleaning with the aid of brooms, shovels, air hose/wand, or any other cleaning aid required.
- Cleaning the Sweet Line Mixer/Shaker/Scales as needed following all company and OSHA regulations regarding Lock Out/Tag Out.
- Assist production personnel when requested.
- Work Overtime as required.
- Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures.
- Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Good communication, verbal, written and math skills.
- Work and cooperate with all fellow employees.
- Work in the most effective, efficient, and safe manner at all times.
- Thorough understanding of cGMP’s.
- Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan.
- Knowledge of FSMA.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
- Job requires employee to be on feet for entire shift.
- Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or GED.
