Job Title: Academic Support Coordinator
Job Location: KyCAD Mansion HQ - 505 W. Ormsby Ave, Louisville, Ky 40203
Reports to: Vice President of Academic Affairs/Rounsavall Dean of Studio Art
Classification: Non-Exempt
Part I - Position Description
Directly reporting to the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Academic Support Coordinator collaborates with Dean of Faculty, Director of Library Services, faculty and staff to assist students' academic coursework, connect them to appropriate resources, and provide ongoing support as needed. By developing, promoting and administering support for the whole student, including academic skills, wellness, inclusion, and belonging, the Academic Support Coordinator contributes to building an innovative learning culture of creativity and rigor.
Part II - Responsibilities
35% One-on-One/small group Tutoring, Academic Coaching, Foundational academic skill development, Whole-student support
25% Student programming and communications
10% Learning Technology Support
25% Administration
5% Professional Development and Networking
Part III - Qualifications
Training, education, experience, and other credentials may vary by position to identify one or more appropriate candidates to perform the tasks and activities relating to a role; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to perform the work as outlined in the position description and responsibilities sections above.
This position requires the ability to lift 30lbs (approx.) and must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
