Our ophthalmology practice is looking for positive candidates to join our growing team. As Kentucky Eye Care is growing, so are our staffing needs. We are searching for qualified candidates to join the Billing team.

As a Billing/Collections Specialist you will post vision charges and vision payments, receive, sort, and track incoming payments, issue receipts for received payments, securely handle patient information being HIPAA compliant and provide regular, accurate reports of billing data.

• At least 1 year experience with medical and/or vision billing collections and reimbursement management
• Able to manage accounts receivable activities and work with third party payers
• Must be able to actively engage within the team and be a team player
• Familiar with health-care collection guidelines and practices
• General knowledge of medical terminology and ICD10 coding
• Knowledge on processing payments from insurance companies
• Ability to balance daily close
• Ability to answer questions from patients, staff and insurance companies regarding patient accounts
• Conducts self in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

Strong customer service and organization skills for live calls. Good attendance, friendly attitude, reliable, team player and punctuality required. Customer service and computer experience is a must. Background checks will be completed on all new hires.
