Our KerberRose Human Resources team is actively reciting for a Controller at our client company in the Wausau, WI market! This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The Controller will play a crucial leadership role, contributing to various aspects of the organization and providing robust financial guidance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial results
• Developing and maintaining financial controls and guidelines
• Mentoring and developing the Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Payroll teams
• Providing detailed financial updates to the management team through data evaluation and analysis
• Setting budgeting goals with proper scheduling and analysis
• Preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidating financial statements in line with GAAP
• Monitoring and implementing internal controls to protect company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows
• Ensuring consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures, compliant with local, state, and federal reporting requirements
• Establishing financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, and reporting standards in collaboration with the CFO
• Analyzing variances and communicating findings and recommendations to management
• Collaborating across functions to support various business initiatives
• Leading continuous process improvement initiatives, identifying areas of risk, and overseeing the design and implementation of solutions

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a senior-level accounting or finance role
• Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
• Knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• Professional Certification (such as CPA) is preferred
• Experience with Oracle NetSuite is preferred
