Applications submitted will remain active for up to two years. Kern Community College District is soliciting applications for part-time, hourly adjunct instructors. The salary range is $32.50 - $65.00/hour; Hourly rate may vary based on type of assignment and the Lecture Hour Equivalent (LHE) formula. Representative DutiesThis is for an adjunct pool for the Southwest Tutoring Center located in Bakersfield, CA that will be used to staff part-time adjunct positions for the 2023-2024 academic years. This is an in-person on-sight assignment. Tutoring Center Line of Sight Faculty are to observe tutoring sessions to ensure the safety and security of both Tutee and Tutor and that quality educational support is being provided. Minimum QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: Master's in Education or Master's in English OR - The equivalent. Certain combinations of education, experience, and other accomplishments in the field may be judged as equal to the stated minimum qualifications for these positions. Candidates who feel they possess such equivalent qualifications must request and submit an APPLICATION FOR EQUIVALENCE form.
