Bi-Weekly Salary: Level I $2,854.89 - $3,411.86; Level II $3,154.35 - $3,769.74This is a continuous recruitment and may close at any time without notice. Examination: Written Exam (Weight 100%): Will be conducted for the purposes of assessing the applicant's knowledge of principles and techniques of programming and coding operations; computer operation capabilities; nomenclature; and data storage and handling techniques.Applicants must attain at least 70% score on each phase of the examination process. The Human Resources Division may solely conduct an appraisal of application materials should there be an insufficient number of candidates to warrant a written examination. Minimum Qualifications/Employment Standards: Level I: Completion of thirty (30) semester or forty-five (45) quarter units from an accredited college or university, with course work in computer science or management information systems or closely related field.ORCompletion an accredited trade or vocational school training program in programming.OROne (1) year of technical experience in an information systems environment.Valid California Class "C" Driver's License is required at the time of appointment. Level II: Completion of sixty (60) semester or ninety (90) quarter units from an accredited college or university with course work in computer science or management information systems or closely related field AND one (1) year of full-time paid experience programming in an information systems environment.ORCompletion of an accredited trade or vocational school training program in programming AND two (2) year of full-time paid experience programming in an information systems environment.ORThree (3) years of full-time paid experience programming in an information systems environment.OROne (1) year as a Systems Analyst I in the Kern County classification system.Valid California Class "C" Driver's License is required at the time of appointment.Applicants must submit all applicable diploma(s), transcripts, license(s) and/or certificate(s) with their application by the final filing deadline.
