The IT Procurement Manager will work on delivering cost reductions for spend areas such as software, hardware, professional services, managed services and networking and telecommunications. The individual will
Responsibilities:
- Provide project management oversight of the RFx process including, but not limited to, the development of the requirements, drafting RFP documents, facilitation of team meetings and vendor sessions, negotiation of terms and pricing with the vendors, and ultimately execution of a Supplier Agreement.
- Manage and lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities for strategic suppliers to drive continuous improvement, resolve complex supply issues, and coordinate new opportunities of mutual benefit to all parties.
- RFx development, competitive bid analysis, contract development and negotiations, and strategic supplier on-going management.
- Optimization of internal sourcing processes, work flows and interfaces in effort to reduce time of delivery and costs in support of IT objectives and industry best practices.
- Success driven by building strong relationships with internal business partners .
- Result focused and deliver value and competitive advantage to the IT business as measured by customer satisfaction, project execution, value improvement, and other areas as applicable.
Requirements:
- Minimum Qualifications 7 years of Sourcing Experience plus 3 years of relevant experience in IT spend categories.
- Demonstrated experience working strategically and with a high level of experience in project management, change and category management
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, and sourcing tools, proven negotiation and supplier management skills. Strong analytical capabilities (data analysis and benchmarking IT)
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage several projects while ensuring deliverables are fully met on time .
- Conduct market intelligence activities that include industry trends, suppliers and best practices.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective business partner relationships
- Lead cross functional teams in a collaborative manner to drive successful outcomes
- Creation of project plans including an understanding of potential dependencies as well as critical path elements.
- Ability to perform pricing analysis and evaluations of total cost of ownership.
- Ability to identify risk areas associated with sourcing strategies across multiple factors including: single/ sole sourced goods/services, financial, inflationary, etc.
- Strong understanding of contract law and regulations as they relate to IT Products and services.
- Strong knowledge of the multiple facets of negotiations, including the ability to construct negotiation plans that extend beyond price and that include legal and business contractual terms and SLAs.
- Ability to lead Suppler Relationship Management for the IT category that includes leading Quarterly Business Review meetings, creation of scorecards that effectively monitor vendor’s performance, and defining continuous improvement opportunities to drive additional value from the partnership.
