  • Shift: Monday-Friday
    • 8:00am-4:30pm

Key Point Health Services is a leading nonprofit agency serving people with behavioral healthcare needs in the Greater Baltimore area. We provide comprehensive community-based services that help people thrive while realizing and choosing their goals. We provide opportunities, support and integration within our community. Among the programs and services, we provide are Outpatient Mental Health Centers, Adult and Child Psychiatric Rehabilitation Programs, School-Based Therapy, Community Outreach, and Residential Services.

Responsibilities of this role s include but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring outstanding claims, credits, and unposted payments
  • Review daily reconciliation reports from Streamline.
  • Post Optum payments
  • Denial management of Medicaid, Medicare/MMA.
  • Run and complete monthly Rehab Auth report
  • Communication with clinics and other programs regarding denials or billing issues from Medicare/Medicaid.
  • Logging, copying and scanning private insurance checks including EOB download from sites and credit card processing
  • Provide support as back up for billing team, as needed.
  • Maintain up to date on regulatory and compliance related to billing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Desirable Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrate ability to communicate verbally and in writing to insurance companies
  • Good Organization and customer service skills, and the ability to interact with clients, families, staff, management, physicians, representatives of insurance companies and other third-party payors, as well as the general public
  • Must function effectively under stress and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in use of computers and printers, fax machines and computer internet services and electronic medical records
  • Good working knowledge of PPO, HMO, Medicare, Medicaid
  • Thorough understanding of all entitlement, disability, and public insurance programs
  • Ability to act as a liaison between the front office and back-office systems.
  • Attention to detail and concentration
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, with at least 2 years’ experience in revenue cycle management. In lieu of diploma a minimum of 5 years’ experience in revenue cycle management.
  • Experience in Streamline, a plus.
  • Experience with Optum preferred.
  • Behavioral Health a plus.
