Job Type: Part-Time
Pay: $23.00 per hour
Shift: 3 Days Per Week in Office 8am-4:30pm

Key Point Health Services is a leading nonprofit agency serving people with behavioral healthcare needs in the Greater Baltimore area. We provide comprehensive community-based services that help people thrive while realizing and choosing their goals. We provide opportunities, support and integration within our community. Among the programs and services, we provide are Outpatient Mental Health Centers, Adult and Child Psychiatric Rehabilitation Programs, School-Based Therapy, Community Outreach, and Residential Services.
Who We Need: We are currently looking for a part-time Staff Development Coordinator to join our Human Resources Team.
What We Need:

  • Combination of experience and education related to the population with whom Key Point serves and additionally training and/or education.
  • Knowledge of organizational structures and relevant job duties common within the organization.
  • Someone who can demonstrate the ability to express themselves well through writing, interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Someone who has an understanding and sensitivity to serving culturally diverse and/or special needs population while maintaining patient confidentially.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for the on-going education of all Key Point employees.
  • Responsible for the assessment of training needs, assessment of learning objectives, and assessment of competencies.
  • Development of training curriculums and updating existing training materials for employee needs.
  • Responsible for finding and booking external training consultants.
  • The Staff Development Coordinator is also responsible for the timely and accurate completion of all documentation related to training including certificates and management of personnel files.
  • The Staff Development Coordinator monitors prescriber’s training compliance and organizes training meetings for prescribers.
  • The Staff Development Coordinator establishes in-house employee training that addresses company training needs.
  • The Staff Development Coordinator assists employees with one-on-one needs for training requirements.
  • The Staff Development Coordinator is responsible for maintaining their level of skill by completing the required 20 hours per year of training. In addition, as an employee, is expected to abide by all safety rules and regulations of the department and facility and carrying out the mission, philosophy of care, and policies of Key Point. The employee abides by the ethics set forth by the agency and the profession. They also perform other duties as needed to achieve program goals and objectives.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred (one to one year exchange.)
  • Valid and active Maryland driver's license (or state of residence)
  • Pass a criminal background check, MVA check, and provide a negative drug screen.
