Sanitation/Pest Control Supervisor

Reports To: Sanitation/Pest Control Manager

Summary: The Sanitation/Pest Control Supervisor oversees the cleaning of production equipment, facility areas, and implements pest control measures to meet food safety requirements and quality standards. They supervise a team, ensure compliance with regulations, and support continuous improvement in sanitation and pest control practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise Sanitation and Pest Control Technicians in cleaning production equipment and implementing pest control measures.
• Coordinate and occasionally apply or oversee insecticide or herbicide spraying and fogging applications.
• Maintain proper staffing levels for efficient sanitation and pest control activities.
• Conduct inspections for safety, sanitation, pest control, and food safety compliance.
• Complete Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions as needed.
• Cooperate with all shifts and departments, maintaining open communication.
• Ensure documentation of sanitation and pest control programs is accurate and audit-ready.
• Identify and recommend expenditures to support sanitation, pest control, food safety, and quality.
• Delegate work assignments, motivate team members, and develop skills.
• Report food safety and quality issues to the immediate manager.
• Understand and oversee the use of chemicals and equipment for proper sanitization.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
• Assist in monitoring inventory levels, ordering supplies, and maintaining records.
• Coordinate organization of work areas and storage spaces.
• Assist with installing or replacing dispensers and equipment.
• Update monthly budget expenditures and provide usage reports.
• Maintain records for audit purposes.
• Limited local travel may be required for supply pick-up or transportation.
• Occasionally assist in cleaning activities.

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of HACCP, FDA, GMP, IPM, and OSHA Standards.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred; 4 years of supervisory experience in food safety/sanitation or related fields may substitute.
• Minimum 1-year experience in Sanitation or related field.
• Certificates and/or training in food safety, regulatory compliance, HACCP, GMPs may be required.
• Forklift experience desirable; valid driver's license required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position will supervise up to 45 employees.
