Lovely Cochranville, Pa family is looking for a nanny and household manager for their active family.

Job description:

Nanny for 2 boys aged 6 and 9 and overall household management ( 2 dogs)

Every day:

Cleaning up kitchen in the morning, making beds, vacuuming as needed, putting away toys, clothes, shoes etc. to make the house look neat and tidy

unpacking packages and putting away supplies

break down boxes, take out trash and recycling

Evenings help with meal prep/ kids meals, cleaning up after dinner, helping with kids

Pack lunches, bring in stuff from the car, help pack/ unpack things

General:

Laundry for entire family ( putting laundry away in drawers and closets)

Errands, grocery shopping, dry cleaning drop off/ pick up, etc.

sweeping terraces

Organization of closets, basement, generally helping keeping house organized

clean out cars

if we are planning a kids’ birthday party or other event, sometimes some additional errands are necessary

If we have a delivery they may need to accept it or deal with a vendor who comes to the house if I can’t be there

Sometimes pick up after school or camp, some supervision on school holidays, taking them to sports/ extracurricular activities sometimes in the afternoons (this is generally shared with mom if kids are going in 2 different directions), doing fun activities with them occasionally on weekends, babysitting at night if parents are out

Sometimes supervise baths/ showers and bedtime

Putting away folded laundry and keeping children’s closets up to date (occasionally go through and select clothes that are outgrown)

Assistance with organization of children’s rooms, equipment, clothing, hockey bags, etc.

Dogs: putting dogs out or the occasional dog walk if our dog walker is away or I cannot do it, helping feed dogs if I am home late.

Organizing drawers or basement if there is a quiet week

When family is away and the time is not utilized for vacation, organize the house, throw away food in refrigerator, check mail and packages, water window boxes and generally make sure house is OK

If possible, occasionally we might travel with a nanny – 2 weeks in Maine in July and possible 2 weeks in Santa Barbara in August. (This is not a dealbreaker.)

Nanny must have their own car and will be can reimbursed for gas/ mileage.

Required to know how to swim.

Very good English is a must.

Position information:

Commence once a proper candidate is found. Looking for the end of June beginning of July.

Tuesday -Saturday approximately 12-8, 11-7 or hours can be adjusted to have the day end at 6pm if that is preferable.
