About You:
- Experienced: 2-3 years of childcare experience, ideally with infants.
- Arabic Speaker: Fluency in Arabic and would prefer Egyptian dialect, is a plus!
- Compassionate & Engaging: You have a genuine love for children and a passion for fostering their development through play and exploration.
- Safety-Conscious: You prioritize the well-being of your charges and are CPR certified.
- Organized & Reliable: You have excellent time management skills and maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Communicative: You are a clear and concise communicator who keeps us updated throughout the day with texts, calls, and pictures (when appropriate).
- Healthy Habits: You are a non-smoker who believes in healthy living and can prepare healthy/organic meals and snacks for the child.
- Tech-Savvy (with Limits): You are comfortable using technology to connect with us, but understand the importance of limited screen time for both you and the baby.
- Flexible & Adaptable: You can maintain a routine while also being flexible with occasional schedule changes due to our work needs.
- Respectful: You are comfortable with cameras in the house and understand our need to check in periodically.
- College-Educated: A college degree is a plus.
- Driver's License & Reliable Transportation: Once comfortable, you may be responsible for occasional outings to music classes, parks, or the library.
- Early Childhood Development Knowledge: Experience with premature infants and knowledge of sleep education (not sleep training, but helping with naps) is a bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Provide full-time care for child from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday (with potential overtime).
- Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for learning and play.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks.
- Assist with basic household chores related to the child (laundry, dishes, toy organization).
- Communicate effectively with parents throughout the day.
- Engage in educational and fun activities with the child.
- Maintain a consistent routine while being adaptable to our changing needs.
Start Date: September 3, 2024 (minimum 1 year commitment)
Compensation: $24-/$26/hr on the books, 2 weeks paid vacation, paid holidays and paid sick time along with guaranteed hours and pay.
Must be willing to submit to a background check and a 10 panel drug test and be CPR and First Aid certified.
