KFC is Hiring an Intern, Financial Planning Near Louisville, KY
COMPENSATION: $16 - $18/hour (Rate varies depending on skills and experience)
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The position will be responsible for providing day-to-day analysis in support of the KFC Financial Planning team.
The Financial Planning intern’s primary job functions are as follows:
Knowledge And Skill RequiredStudents currently pursuing undergraduate or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field in Business.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The position will be responsible for providing day-to-day analysis in support of the KFC Financial Planning team.
The Financial Planning intern’s primary job functions are as follows:
- Support the Financial Planning team in preparing detailed reports for KFC’s Directors and Leadership Team on YTD progress against project budgets.
- Review and provide analysis and insights on actual spending trend vs. established budgets.
- Assist with the review and tracking of Capital Spending (CAPEX) using ad-hoc queries and Excel models.
- Assist with the review and maintenance of Organization Chart movements and the related impact to expense forecast.
- Partner with key stakeholders and various internal departments to understand department spending and record any reclassifications (budget or actual) to the appropriate cost centers and GL accounts.
- Support Financial Planning team as needed in ad-hoc projects and various strategic initiatives.
Knowledge And Skill RequiredStudents currently pursuing undergraduate or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field in Business.
EXPERIENCE (and Other Qualifications)
- Must have strong internal motivation, ability to communicate effectively, and an analytical mindset.
- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an attention to details.
- Experience with Excel and PowerPoint is required. Experience in financial modeling and financial statement analysis is a plus.
