RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is seeking an Application Software Engineer 2 to come aboard a contract to hire opportunity with one of our top Fortune 25 clients in Troy, MI.
Responsibilities:
* Application Software Engineer 2 will gather requirements for QA tickets in backlog grooming sessions by collaborating with ETL developers and business analysts
* Document and provide overview of testing within a -test scope- document
* Perform System Integration Testing (SIT) to ensure data is properly landed into the warehouse from a variety of source applications
* Perform robust functional and non-functional testing, often using SQL, to expected behavior after ETL changes, per business rules
* As an Application Software Engineer 2, you will perform additional risk-based testing and black-box testing to ensure data integrity within the warehouse
* Identify, complete, & track opportunities for automated testing using the Tosca automation tool
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree (IT)
* Advanced SQL skills
* Data-Warehouse/ETL Testing
* Test Automation (preferred Tosca DI)
Preferred skills/experience:
* NoSQL DBs (preferred MongoDB)
* Programming Expertise (preferred Python/Java)
* Continuous Integration
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
