Job Details

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Steward, Merrimack, NH.
Duties Include:
* Create, validate, and manage individual business data definitions within the business glossary; This function is foundational to data enablement and quality, by unlocking detailed understanding of each data element and the consistency required for reporting and other uses of data to ensure accuracy
* Ensure data is classified and the metadata is enriched; Specifically, codes are applied to each data element such as for privacy laws which are required to be discoverable, and the classification process speeds up our ability to find data items with a higher degree of accuracy when reporting back to either industry or state regulatory agencies
* Ensure high quality data at the stage of consumption; Work with the data quality leads to develop specific data quality standards and rules; Implement utilization of standards from data library; Monitor domain for quality issues, disposition and/or resolve issues submitted via Data Issues intake form, develop and implement improvements where data is problematic at the source, coordinate metrics, and report of domain data in coordination with the Data Quality Lead
* Support and enable data modernization through mapping data from legacy systems to Nextgen platforms to ensure elements are moving properly and completely; It also includes being able to provide data lineage and tracing of data movements within the legacy systems which is critical when figuring out paths of data transformation from legacy to modernized data sources
REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience working in the role of a data steward for minimum of 3 years, ideally for a medium to large financial services organization
* Hands on experience with data governance/catalog tools such as Collibra, Alation or Informatica and other lineage or data quality tools would be a nice to have
* Data analysis and query capabilities
* Highly effective communicator
* Able to work with teams across large organization
* A change agent; Able to drive and demonstrate progress
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
