RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Manager of IT Security in Grand Rapids, Michigan (MI). This role will be onsite 4 days per week with 1 remote day.
Responsibilities include:
* Develop and implement an information security strategy that aligns with business objectives and industry best practices
* Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and standards for information security that comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
* Lead a team of security professionals in the execution of security operations, incident response, risk management, and compliance activities
* Oversee the deployment, integration, and initial configuration of all new security solutions and of any enhancements to existing security solutions
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure that security controls are integrated into business processes and applications
* Develop and maintain incident response plans and coordinate responses to security incidents
* Coordinate security awareness training for employees and contractors to ensure compliance with information security policies and procedures
* Oversee risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and prioritize security risks, and develop mitigation plans to reduce or eliminate those risks
* Monitor and report on the effectiveness of information security controls and provide regular updates to senior leadership on the state of information security
* Participate in internal and external audits of information security controls, and work with auditors to address any findings or recommendations
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree of Computer Science, Information Security, or relevant experience preferred
* Relevant professional certifications such as GIAC, CISSP, Security , PMP, OCSP are a plus
* 5 years of experience in information security preferred
* 3-5 years of experience leading technical teams preferred
* Strong knowledge of security frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Controls
* Experience with security technologies such as firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS (Security Onion), EDR/SIEM (Rapid7 Insight Platform), vulnerability scanners, and SOAR solutions
* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of security professionals
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and communicate security risks and issues to executive management
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
