RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a growing and established engineering technology company in the Phoenix, AZ area, is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer. We are working directly with the hiring manager on this exclusive search assignment. The company offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, annual bonus, generous PTO, Etc. This is a hands-on position responsible for supporting an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system through the application of continuous improvement processes, root cause analysis, statistical process control techniques, product inspections, quality system audits, and other quality programs and tools.
Responsibilities may include:
* Support compliance and timely completion of all CAPAs activities
* Lead MRB team, non-conformance creation and dispositions
* Coordination of all calibration activities
* Creation of inspection plans and documentation for incoming materials, sub-assemblies, assemblies, or internally manufactured components
* Identifying gaps in metrology equipment, recommending and implementation of new quality tools and processes
* Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions
* Support design engineering in development of drawings and technical specifications
* Work closely with all departments to improve the quality of products and services
* Support and participate in the organization's Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001:2015 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives
* The Senior Quality Engineer will be proficient in the use of precision measuring equipment which may include electronic instruments, to check the measurement of chemical content, purity and other qualities of parts, assemblies, or product
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or other related field from a four-year college or university
* Master's degree is a plus (Statistical Analysis, Quality Management, Systems Engineering)
* Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
* 5-10 years of professional quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
* Experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 certified environment including auditing experience
* Quality-oriented with a hands-on personality
* Excellent working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Principles and ability to apply them in the manufacturing environment
* Strong computer skills (create forms, document issues)
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes (Electrical, Assembly, and Machining), procedures and machinery
* Knowledge in identifying defects, root cause analysis and corrective action
* Knowledge in metrology and inspection techniques
* Knowledge and experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) - ability to program, operate and train others is preferred
* Knowledge in the field of quality data and SPC (Statistical Process Control)
* Ability to effectively use production software (ERP/MRP, SPC)
* Ability to perform engineering or mathematical calculations to support QC efforts
* Ability to communicate clearly with all related functions and management
* Ability to travel occasionally to customer and supplier sites
* Experience leading Kaizen events is a plus
* CAD and GD&T skills in SolidWorks or similar CAD software package is a plus
* Experience working with CM's is a plus
* Experience with CMS is a plus
* Experience with multiple industries, particularly electrical would be very helpful, but mechanical would be ideal
* Experience in highly regulated industries such as Medical Device, Automotive, Semiconductor or Aerospace industries would be ideal
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
