RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Fully Remote Software Engineer III to join their team.
Duties:
* Software Engineer III will be responsible for developing and testing the feature and security related user stories assigned within the estimated timelines of the sprint
* Participate in all scrum ceremonies and help move releases meet the delivery cadence
* Actively engage in tech debt improvements including bug fixes, code refactoring, improving operational resilience, bring new ideas for improving overall health of the system and reduce any possibility of downtime
* As a Software Engineer III, you will improve security posture of the application and codebase
REQUIREMENTS:
* BS degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required
* 6-8 years of development experience using Java/J2EE, Spring Frameworks, Spring Boot, ElasticSearch, Marklogic, SQL and Restful Webservices
* Experience working with large data stores with tools including or similar to: Marklogic, AuroraDB, ElasticSearch
* Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java platforms
* Experience working with Java 11 and above
* Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA, Hibernate)
* Experience in using Agile DevOps tools Gradle, GIT, Bamboo, Jenkins, IntelliJ, and Nexus
* Knowledge of test-driven development
* Good oral and written communications skills
* Ability to work with an agile mindset and avoid an over-the-wall approach
* Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
