Kforce is Hiring an Application Support Analyst Near Mesa, AZ

ResponsibilitiesKforce has a client in Mesa, AZ that is seeking an Application Support Analyst who will support production applications in an Enterprise environment. They will also work with other team members to help enhance .Net competency. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance and provide support for production software applications to minimize disruptions and facilitate effective operations
  • Investigate, diagnose and resolve issues with software applications
  • Support the definition, identification/development, testing, deployment, integration, configuration and use of software applications used across the organization
  • Plan, communicate, and coordinate software application deployments, upgrades, and retirements
  • Define and document technical, operational and support processes and standards for production software applications
  • Define and manage the tools and environments necessary to monitor, measure and improve application performance to ensure alignment with performance specifications
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of products in effort to support customers
  • Develop and maintain application documentation
  • Analyze, monitor performance of applications and/or programs after implementation, taking actions as required
  • Develops and executes scripts of varying complexity to solve business problems, as required
  • Communicate technical information in a clear manner to a variety of internal and external stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
  • Support VM Ticketing System & Understanding of incident management process
  • Act as a behavioral role model for Application Support team members
  • Reduce escalation into the software development team wherever possible
  • Researches, documents, and presents the following information to management/other team members as required
  • Presents application process flows
  • Rotating On-Call
  • Rotating Server Maintenance
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience supporting web and Windows applications
  • 3 years of experience with MS Windows operating systems and applications
  • 3 years of experience in writing SQL, proficient in developing and maintaining SQL Scripts
  • Highly organized with the ability to plan and execute small-to-large projects
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to solve business problems with well-written, maintainable scripts
  • Understanding of software architecture (i.e., components, relationships, constraints)
  • Ability to implement and support a variety of Cloud-based/on-premises 3rd party software applications
  • Server knowledge: Win 2008 R2/Win 2012 (Configure IIS and associated services, Configure User shares, Configure TCP/IP, FTP Services, Install and Configure server components)
  • Excellent problem diagnosis skills (i.e., discovery, replication, troubleshooting, resolution, verification, communication and/or escalation)
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Software including Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook, Publisher and PowerPoint software.
  • Demonstrates ability to multi-task and meet all assigned deadlines in a rapidly changing and high pressure environment
  • Highly organized with the ability to adapt effectively to changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently, along with ability to provide mentorship to less experienced staff members
  • Willingness to work directly with customers, customer technology teams, internal ATS teams, and business partners such as toll authorities to resolve issues
Preferred Skills
  • A 4-year University degree (BA/BS) in information systems or a related technical discipline from a regionally accredited college/university
  • Experience with application monitoring tools (e.g. Firescope, HPSM, App Dynamics, New Relic, Splunk, Pingdom)
  • Scripting or Application Development tools (e.g. PowerShell, C#, PowerBI)
  • Familiarity and experience with Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
