ResponsibilitiesKforce's client, a growing and established technology company in the Phoenix, AZ area is seeking an Azure Data Architect. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this search assignment. This position is Hybrid Remote (2 to 3 days in office weekly is required). The chosen candidate must reside in the Phoenix, AZ metro area. Summary: You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure. As an integral member of our team, you will participate in data strategy and roadmap exercises, data architecture definition, business intelligence/data warehouse product selection, design, and implementation. You will also play key roles in large projects, serving as a Senior Data Modeler, Technical Lead, and Data Architect. Responsibilities:

- Solution Design: Collaborate with multiple Software Engineering teams to understand their business goals, technical requirements, and constraints; Design scalable and cost-effective cloud architectures leveraging Microsoft Azure services; Develop solution blueprints, architectural diagrams, etc.
- Architecture Development: Ensure solutions align with industry best practices, security standards, and compliance regulations; Provide technical guidance and recommendations to development teams throughout the development lifecycle
- Define standards for how data will be stored, consumed, integrated, and managed across the organization; Work through all stages of a data solution lifecycle: analyze/profile data, create conceptual, logical & physical data model designs, architect, and design ETL, reporting, and analytics solutions; Serve as a subject matter expert for the organization on various data warehouse products available in Azure
- Data Accuracy and Accessibility: Implement measures to ensure data accuracy and accessibility, constantly monitoring and refining the performance of data management systems
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Data Engineer Associate)
- At least 8-10 years of relevant experience
- Hands-on experience with modern enterprise data architectures and data toolsets (e.g., data warehouse, data marts, data lake, 3NF and dimensional models, modeling tools, profiling tools)
- Experience in data integration using tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and Azure Synapse
- Strong experience in architecture design and development using Microsoft Azure Data Services such as Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and no-SQL platforms
- Experience working with Agile Teams utilizing Scrum
- Knowledge of data architecture and design patterns and the ability to apply them
- Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, SSIS, and SSRS
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to conceptualize and articulate ideas clearly and concisely
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new business domains and technologies
- Transportation industry experience is a plus
