ResponsibilitiesKforce has a client that is seeking a Cloud Cost Analyst 4 in Beaverton, OR. Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing cloud usage, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and providing insights to enhance overall financial efficiency in cloud environments. Roles and Responsibilities:

- Cost Analysis: Analyze cloud usage and expenditure to identify trends, patterns, and areas for optimization; Utilize cloud provider tools and third-party solutions to gather and interpret cost-related data
- Budget Management: Collaborate with finance and IT teams to establish and manage cloud budgets; Monitor spending against budget allocations and provide regular reports to stakeholders
- Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate forecasts of future cloud costs based on business growth, project requirements, and utilization patterns; Anticipate changes in demand and their impact on cloud expenses
- Optimization Strategies: Devise and implement strategies to optimize cloud spending; This includes right-sizing instances, leveraging reserved instances, and exploring alternative pricing models
- Vendor Negotiation: Engage with cloud service providers to negotiate pricing and terms; Stay informed about pricing models, discounts, and promotions to maximize cost savings
- Cost Allocation: Implement and manage cost allocation processes to attribute cloud costs to specific projects, departments, or business units; Provide transparent and granular cost breakdowns for stakeholders
- Reporting and Communication: Generate and present regular reports on cloud costs, trends, and optimization efforts; Communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Policy Development: Develop and enforce cloud cost management policies and best practices; Work collaboratively with IT teams to ensure adherence to cost guidelines
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 8 or 9 years directly relevant work experience; One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law 6 years; Masters 7 years; Associates degree 9 years; High School diploma/GED 10 years
- To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
