- Cloud Solutions Automation Engineer will use solution-independent architecture patterns to design, develop, and document automated deployment solutions via Infrastructure as Code using compliant cloud application stacks
- Work within an Agile product team, taking objectives from the product owner, breaking them down into detailed increments, and delivering committed capability on-time
- Guide/assist application teams to optimize their own CI/CD pipelines and automation efforts using best practices and enterprise standards
- Ensure service compliance with IT Security policies, NIST 800-53, CMMC control requirements
- Provide self-service provisioning and management automation for bimodal applications teams - supporting both traditional IaaS workload and modern serverless applications
- As a Cloud Solutions Automation Engineer, you will troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues, communicating and documenting procedures, and recommending architectural changes when necessary
- Establish a library of examples/blueprints/components of Terraform modules and/or Ansible Playbooks to standardized lifecycle management and accelerate deployment of cloud assets
- Work across organizations to help accelerate public and private cloud adoption
- 8 years of experience with BS or BA degree in a technical program desired
- 5 years of relevant work experience applicable experience developing technical solutions for large complex IT systems, demonstrating a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness
- Strong hands-on experience specifically requiring Terraform and Ansible, but also with any of the following DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools would be of benefit (Chef, Puppet, Git, ADO, or Jenkins) with an -Automation First- attitude
- Experience with production enterprise workloads and concepts such as: Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services, leveraging Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings in both Commercial & GovCloud implementations; Deployment of effective HA/DR cloud deployment strategies; Agile/SAFe software development methodologies and tools; Identity and access management solutions, single sign-on federation such as Ping, LDAP, Microsoft Server Active Directory and Microsoft Azure Active Directory; Cloud Migration and Hybrid/Multi Cloud automation technologies; Various database technologies (SQLServer, MYSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and data interchange formats (XML, JSON)
- Deep technical understanding of Cloud and infrastructure services, including Microsoft Azure and/or AWS, a general understanding of cloud and on-premise networking, servers and storage
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, communication and technical skills are essential
- Effective communication and documentation skills with technical and non-technical colleagues
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships; Strong team player, able to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
- Ability to manage ambiguous or competing requirements, collaborating with project teams to align on solutions
- Knowledge in Defense Contracting and/or Aerospace industry is preferred
- Microsoft Azure or AWS Certifications desired
