- Coordination with Senior Accountant and Head of Bookkeeping on specific projects related to larger clients
- The Property Tax Accountant will prepare business and individual tax return files including all required support documentation and collection of routine answers
- Supervision of both the preparation of returns, and the process of readying returns for preparation, by the junior CPA on the team will be a critical part of this role to support the internal growth of team members
- Training will occur on systems and processes to ensure this individual quickly becomes primary return preparer for 1040, Schedule C, Form 1065, and Form 1120s tax returns; Experience and capability will determine how long until this responsibility is asked
- Adherence to all legal, risk, and accounting guidelines for reporting and interim functions
- Assist with preparation of budgets including consolidated budgeting, long-range planning, cash forecasting, economic benchmarking for the industry, and capital planning
- The Property Tax Accountant maintain client relationships and act proactively to guide clients to a better understanding of their financial statements and how their accounting relates to business and tax goals
- Bookkeeping and tax planning projects will also be issued
- Property Tax Accountant experience
- To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
- Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
