Kforce is Hiring a Senior Accountant Near Hoboken, NJ
- Conduct thorough bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions
- Oversee general ledger maintenance and ensure proper recording of financial transactions
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets for accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data and provide support for budget planning and forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and audits
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to streamline accounting procedures
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to higher education finance
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification preferred
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant in a higher education setting
- Strong bank reconciliation skills with a keen eye for detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas
- Experience with financial systems, preferably Workday
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
