Kforce is Hiring a Service Engineer Near Detroit, MI
- Develop and communicate service requirements
- Develop diagnostic and repair procedures
- Attend Product Development Team (PDT) Meetings, Design for Manufacturing (DFMs) and Peer reviews for assigned service subsections
- Develop service part release strategies with Service parts Engineering/Design Release Engineers/Suppliers with Subsystem Service Plans (SSSP)
- Investigate and respond to Problem Tracking Reports (PTR's) (suggested service manual changes)
- Develop/Validate diagnostic service procedures
- Support field requests
- Maintain ownership of older documents on previously authored programs
- Collaborate cross functionally with up/down stream organization
- Visit other Michigan based work site's for validation or other on vehicle testing/observation will be required as needed
- Required to meet KPI expectations as provided to the rest of the team
- Preferred Work Schedule: core hours of 9am-3pm with 40 hours per week required
- Need to be in office 3 days per week mandatory Tues-Thurs. Monday and Friday as required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
- 0-2 years of experience required
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Lotus Notes or other email communication tools
- Strong interpersonal skills involving ability to work effectively cross-functionally and cross-culturally
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Ability to partner with senior management to analyze and solve issues
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to read engineering schematics and blueprints
- Strong understanding of automotive repair
- Demonstrated electrical/electronic diagnosis and repair ability
- Valid driver's license

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
