Kforce is Hiring a Software Engineer Near Herndon, VA
- Software Engineer will work closely with business analysts, developers, quality assurance, and others throughout the software development life cycle
- Adhere to software development best practices including coding standards, code reviews, and release management
- Work closely with the Government customer and other stakeholders to ensure shipped software meets expectations
- As a Software Engineer, you will provide project status at daily scrum meetings and as required to program management
- Maintain project schedules and timelines
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
- BS/BA degree and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or 14 years relevant work experience with no degree
- Software development experience using C#, ASP.Net, VB.Net, JavaScript, and PL/SQL
- Experience with developing applications that interface with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server backend databases
- Experience with Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio, or other development tools
- Experience creating and updating applications running on IIS
- Experience architecting and designing new and current systems
- Knowledge of Agile Development Methodology
- Software development experience within the military or federal government
- Experience with PKI certificate authentication
- Experience with Active Directory Federated Services
- Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity policies/procedures and how it relates to software development
- Experience developing and scaling complex systems, including microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation
