A bit about us : We are a close-knit family living in Seattle, originally transplants with no extended family nearby. Both parents work full-time, and with two children who are our world, we are dedicated to meeting all their needs and supporting their growth. We prioritize spending quality time together, whether it's attending sports events, listening to music, or traveling to visit family out of state.
We're seeking a reliable and proactive part-time nanny to support our family during the school year. Our children, ages 13 and 11, are active in sports and enjoy a variety of interests, including reading, music, and board games. We're looking for someone who can provide after-school care, assist with transportation to activities, support our kids with homework, and light household tasks when time permits.
A bit about you : Our ideal nanny is reliable, communicative, and flexible. You should be comfortable with changing plans, as schedules for activities like soccer practice may vary from week to week. We're looking for someone who can build a strong relationship with our preteens, guiding them through their activities, helping with homework, and being a positive influence in their lives.
Job Duties :

• Provide after-school care for two children, ages 13 and 11.
• Pick up the children from school and transport them to sports practices and other activities.
• Assist with homework supervision and support.
• Optionally, help with household chores such as kids' laundry and light meal preparation before school pickup.
• Maintain the children's schedule using a shared Outlook calendar.

Start Date: Ideally August 28th or by September 3rd
Location: Seattle, 98112

Qualifications :

• Previous nanny experience, particularly with preteens and teenagers.
• Safe driving record and own vehicle for transportation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to changing schedules.
• Glowing references from recent nanny positions.

Set yourself apart :

• Ability to manage household tasks efficiently alongside childcare responsibilities.
• Interest in sports or music that aligns with the children's activities.
• A proactive approach to supporting the children's academic and extracurricular pursuits.
• Spanish-speaking ability is a plus, but not required. Our long-term nanny of 13 years spoke Spanish with our children since they were little and we would love for them to retain this beautiful language skill.

Schedule: 20 hours a week- M-F 2pm-6pm
Pay: $30-35 an hour DOE
