Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational and developmental programs for children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Assist with planning and organizing age-appropriate activities and lessons
- Help supervise children during playtime, mealtime, and outdoor activities
- Assist with maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment
- Support the lead teacher in monitoring and documenting children's progress and behavior
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Familiarity with age-appropriate teaching methods and techniques
- Ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, and colleagues
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Skills:
- Food industry experience, such as working as a cook or in food service, is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Experience in food preparation, handling, and menu planning
- Proficiency in using knives and other culinary tools
- Ability to assist with mealtime routines, including serving food to children
Please note that this position does not involve direct food preparation or handling. The skills listed above are desirable but not required for the role of Assistant Teacher.
