Overview:
As a Medical Assistant at KidMed Pediatric Urgent Care, you will be an integral part of our dedicated team, delivering high-quality care to children in our community. You will work alongside providers and healthcare professionals who share your passion for pediatric medicine and commitment to providing outstanding patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist providers and nurses with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Take and record vital signs, perform basic laboratory tests, and assist with diagnostic procedures.
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean, stocked, and ready for patient visits.
• Maintain accurate and complete electronic health records (EHR) for each patient encounter.
• Provide clear instructions to patients and caregivers regarding treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
• Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and processing patient paperwork.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution.
• Previous experience in a pediatric setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with clinical procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and their families.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
